Thank you for visiting the University of Alaska Anchorage (UAA), Alaska Geriatric Education Center (AKGEC) website. AKGEC was recently awarded a new three year grant to continue to train health care professionals within the state and is currently working to bring the center back to full operation. Thank you for your continued support. We look forward to an ongoing association with all of you and forming new partnerships with new organizations and agencies.

We will be emphasizing new areas of focus within our health professions training venues. Senior Advocacy Coalition(SAC)-Alaska Residents

The SAC was established to provide a forum for providers and individuals interested in senior issues across the state. The agenda is generally the same each month, but allows for hot topics and discussion on a variety of senior issues. Individuals often congregate at a central location to help save on conference calling costs.
