AKGEC was recently awarded a new three year grant to continue to train health care professionals within the state and is currently working to bring the center back to full operation. The budget for the FY08 Federal year is now being finalized. Many programs are being discussed and may or may not receive funding in this fiscal year, Title VII and Geriatric Education Centers being just one of the programs. Visit the following links for more details.
The SAC was established to provide a forum for providers and individuals interested in senior issues across the state. The agenda is generally the same each month, but allows for hot topics and discussion on a variety of senior issues. Individuals often congregate at a central location to help save on conference calling costs.
