Training Activities

AKGEC currently sponsors or cosponsors many educational conferences and workshops for health care professionals who work with older adults. The overall purpose of these training events is to provide health care professionals with opportunities to learn about various health promotion, interventions and strategies to improve the quality of life for the older adults they serve.

Summer Courses begin May 19, 2008. Go to http://uaonline.alaska.edu/ to register. If you have questions regarding pre-reqs, call the Department in which the classes are being offered. Hartford Doctoral Fellow Program: to Support Scholars in Geriatric Social Work -Designed to bring outstanding, talented, skilled people into the field of Gerontology. Funded by the John A.
